Maja Salvador has dismissed the rumors about her boyfriend Gerald Anderson having an affair with indie film actress Dawn Jimenez, his co-star in the action flick On The Job.

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Maja just laughed off the intrigues despite the fact that Dawn and Gerald had a sex scene in the movie.

“Mahirap i-explain… na sa industriya kami at marami't maraming nali-link talaga. Artista kami, ano ba 'yon. It's part of the job, he's on the job (It’s hard to explain… we’re in the industry and a lot of people are being linked to one another. We’re artists. It’s part of the job, he’s on the job),” Maja said, adding that she had even invited the newbie actress to a special screening she had organized for her boyfriend’s movie.

Maja also assured the press that she has never doubted Gerald even if he was allegedly spotted visiting Dawn’s condominium unit several times.

“Kung may tiwala ka sa isang tao, panindigan mo lang 'yung tiwalang 'yun. Kasi mahirap pag mag-doubt ka sa isang taong malapit sa 'yo (If you trust someone, just continue believing in him. It’s hard when you doubt someone who’s close to you),” she said, adding that she thinks her boyfriend’s actions are more important than the persistent rumors that have hounded their relationship.

“Gano'n naman eh, hindi mawawala 'yon,” she continued. “Halos lahat mag-aabang ng break-up niyo, kung sino 'yung susunod niyo. Basta ang pinaka-importante alam niyo sa isa't-isa na pinoprotektahan niyo ang isa't-isa at may tiwala kayo sa isa't-isa (It’s really like that, rumors will never disappear. Almost everyone is waiting for your breakup, for the person you’ll be with next. But the most important thing is that you know that you protect one another and that you trust each other.).”
