Kris Aquino bluntly turned down a male netizen asking for permission to court her via Instagram.
The guy, using the handle name @mandi_monaco, identified himself as an OFW in the United Kingdom who hopes to be Kris’s “da one.”
He wrote, “Hi, Ms kris kamusta pwed ba kitang ligawan kung papayag ka im a Simple guy lng ako ofw egnr. pero nag nurse dito sa UK.
“Bka ikaw na yung da one ko kc pareho tayo lagi niloloko iniiwan. Kapag ako minahal mo mamahalin kit a hbng buhay promise.”
But the 47-year-old TV host-actress refused to take him seriously. Based on their exchange, Kris noted that she even felt offended by the guy’s Instagram feed showing an inappropriate picture of a woman.
Kris told him, “no thank you. I saw your feed- i don't like 'fakes' & your account looks like a 'troll' account. Ang bastos pa nung pics.
“Please, i'm too smart & too pretty para mag attempt kang bolahin pa ako.”
Kris's last romantic relationship was with Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista. They secretly got engaged in 2015, but the mayor reportedly broke it off because he chose to prioritize his kids' needs.
Last year, Kris told PEP.ph that Mayor Herbert gave her a diamond ring and proposed to her for the second time, but she turned it down because of "wrong timing."
In spite of the many things they have in common, Kris said, "But... the 'but' lang there is that I knew that we would end up not making each other happy sa long run..."
The two remain good friends to this day.
