KC Concepcion has once again denied the rumored romance between her and NBA player Chandler Parsons, who was in the country with the rest of the Houston Rockets earlier this month for a pre-season game against the Indiana Pacers.

“Nakikita n’yo naman, wala akong commitments, wala akong sineseryoso, 'di ba (You’ve seen that I have no commitments, I’m not seeing anyone seriously, right?)?” PEP.ph had quoted her as saying. “I'm getting to know people… Dinners, friendship.”

The actress-host also spoke up about the backlash she received when it was revealed that she had dinner with Chandler, who was reported to have a girlfriend in the US, during his stay in the Philippines.

“Walang kung anu-anong mga pinagsasabi ng mga bashers sa Instagram ko or sa Twitter, na napakabastos talaga. Walang kwentang comment minsan. Nakakabastos na bilang isang babae (My bashers on Instagram or Twitter would sometimes say really rude things. I get really worthless comments sometimes. As a woman, it can be very offensive),” KC lamented.

However, KC has learned to ignore her detractors and to focus on the opinions of those who know her well, like her mother Sharon Cuneta.

“Andaming nagsasabi sa ‘yo kung ano’ng dapat gawin, kung ano'ng 'di dapat gawin. And sa kanya, nakikita niya talaga na napaka-devoted ko sa trabaho ko, napaka-busy ko sa trabaho ko, and she knows kung nasaan ako, kung ano’ng pinagkakaabalahan ko (So many people tell you what you’re supposed to do, what you’re not supposed to do. With her, she can really see how devoted I am to my work, how busy I am with my job, and she knows where I am, and the things that I’m busy doing),” she said about her Megastar mom. “She's very supportive. Mararamdaman mo naman (You can feel it)... If something goes wrong, she will be there. So far, I'm glad na mabubuting tao naman 'yung mga nakikilala ko (I’m glad that I’ve been able to meet good people.).”
