Jinkee Pacquiao, wife of People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao, made waves after turning down a guesting in the internationally renowned talk show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Spot.PH reports. “Sabi ko, ayoko ng live, kasi hindi ako sanay pag live. Tapos siyempre, English yun, so baka mag-nosebleed ako (I said, I don't want a live interview because I'm not used to it. And of course, it's in English, so I might get overwhelmed),” she is quoted as saying on PEP.ph. While Jinkee says she does feel a bit of regret, the staff of the show understood her decision. “Hindi ako fluent sa English, inaamin ko naman yun. Basta naging totoo lang naman ako na baka ano yung masasabi ko, ayokong magkamali (I'm not fluent in English, I admit that. I'm just being truthful when I saw I'm iffy about what I might say. I don't want to make a mistake).”
If it were a taped interview, she adds, she would be all right with it. "Pero pag live talaga, takot kasi akong magkamali, ayokong ma-criticize ng tao (But if it's live, I'm afraid of making a mistake. I don't want people to criticize me),” she explains on PEP.ph.
