Jerika Ejercito and Melissa Ricks were among the first celebrities to show support for Gretchen Fullido after the news anchor filed sexual harassment and libel complaints against ABS-CBN executives and co-workers.

Using the hashtag #IStandWithGretchen, Jerika and Melissa posted their message of support on their respective Instagram accounts.

Jerika wrote, "Today she made history. Today she fought for her rights. Today she is writing her own story.

"I am so proud to call her my dearest friend. Her courage amazes me.

"Gretchen Fullido makes a brave stand for all women out there who have been bullied and victimized.

"You are not alone in your fight for justice.

"I FIGHT WITH GRETCHEN. #ISTANDWITHGRETCHEN"

As for Melissa, she described Gretchen as "Strong. Brave. Kind."

She captioned, "Stood with me in difficult times and I will stand by her.

It takes a lot of strength and courage to stand up for your rights, and you did. Proud of you.

My heart and prayers... l'm here for you.

"God is with her, she will not fall"#IStandWithGretchen"

Other celebrities showed their support for Gretchen through the comment section.

DJ Chacha of MOR 101.9 replied with a series of heart emojis to Melissa's post.

Meanwhile, Helga Krapf replied with "#IStandWithGretchen" and "#MeToo"

#MeToo referred to the eponymous movement in the U.S., which brings to light struggles of sexual violence survivors and sparks vital conversations about sexual violence among communities.

The Me Too movement recently took Hollywood by storm when a series of sexual assault and rape cases against Hollywood big wig Harvey Weinstein exposed the industry's filthy history of sexual violence and predation.

One netizen in particular called out Bianca Gonzalez-Intal, Karen Davila, Gretchen Ho, and Ethel Booba for their lack of opinion on the matter.

Ethel was one of the first to respond to this tweet.

The comedienne answered, "Before you ask sa opinyon namin dapat kinuwentuhan nyo muna kami ng kung anong nangyare. Tinatalakan nyo kami eh di ko nga alam anong naging eksena or issue sa kanya. Charot!"

She added through another tweet, "Mahirap magbigay ng opinyon ng di mo alam ano nangyayare. Saka if magbibigay opinyon dapat pinag-iisipan hindi minamadali. Charot!"

Ethel then revealed that she also received a number of "indecent proposals" herself, and she believed Gretchen did the right thing.

She tweeted, "I received a lot of indecent proposal before. Sinabe ko sa sarili ko ba't ko tatanggapin eh may talent naman ko edi yun gagamitin ko para sumikat. Kaya tama lang yang ginawa ni Gretchen lumaban sya kasi aabusuhin ka kapag alam nilang di ka papalag. Charot!"

Bianca also gave her response about the matter.

The celebrity host believed that "Majorly sensitive issues and topics like this need much thought and compassion and understanding [praying hands emoji]"

She tweeted, "Mas irresponsible ata yung magtweet agad agad ng opinyon para lang mema, diba? But, women definitely should support women."

NETIZENS SUPPORT GRETCHEN

Once news broke that Gretchen Fullido filed sexual harassment against former ABS-CBN News executive Cheryl Favila and ABS-CBN News segment producer Maricar Asprec before the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office on October 5, netizens immediately tweeted their support for the news anchor.

Many admired her bravery and expressed their dismay toward the network executives.

Others highlighted that the Me Too movement isn't an attack against men, but simply a wake-up call about abuse.
