Jake Ejercito has confirmed that he and Andi Eigenmann have really broken up, though they still remain friends.

“Wala na, matagal nang wala. End na siguro (It’s over, it’s long been over. It might have already ended),” the son of former president Joseph Estrada told PEP.ph when asked about his past relationship.

Jake, who is enrolled in a political science course in London and is currently in Manila for a short vacation, also admitted that he did not expect the many rumors that have since cropped up about him and Andi.

“Hindi ko naman pinlano na maintriga din, e,” he said. “Nagkataon lang din na, you know, nagkagusto ako ng isang person na from showbiz. Pero walang intention naman to join showbiz or anything… wala naman (I didn’t plan to have intrigues made about me. It just so happened that I liked someone from showbiz. But I have no intention to join showbiz or anything… nothing like that.).”

Jake, who is currently single, also hopes that his mother Laarni Enriquez will be able to reconcile with Andi’s mother, Jaclyn Jose after the latter had insinuated that his parents do not approve of their relationship.

“My mom and Tita Jane [Jaclyn], as far as I know, as of now, hindi pa sila nag-uusap,” he said. “But I’m planning... kasi siyempre naman, kasalanan namin ni Andi kung bakit—it was because of us. But they were really good friends naman—si Tita Jane, my mom, and Tita Jane’s sister… si Tita Vero Jones. Siguro one day, they’ll reconcile (My mom and Tita Jane, as far as I know, as of now, they haven’t talked yet. But I’m planning… because of course, it was mine and Andi’s fault—it was because of us. But they were really good friends before—Tita Jane, my mom, and Tita Jane’s sister, Tita Vero Jones. Maybe one day, they’ll reconcile.).”
