Two talented Filipino boys from General Santos City have followed in the footsteps of world-class Pinoys Charice, Rhap Salazar, and Zendee Rose Tenerefe by catching the attention of comedienne Ellen Degeneres. reports that cousins Aldrich Lloyd Talonding and James Walter Bucongo gained fame when a YouTube video of their rendition of “Dance With My Father” went viral in April. They eventually got featured on the September 12 episode of Ellen, the top-rating talk show hosted by the American celebrity.

During their interview with Ellen, the young boys first revealed how their lives had changed after their post-YouTube fame (the video has more than 3,000,000 views).

“We started a few years ago, we have been best friends in music,” Aldrich said about James. “When the video went viral, people started recognizing us along the streets or in the malls. They even recognize us in the restrooms! That's weird!”

“Many people do recognize me, especially girls. So it feels awkward when they say that they love me!” added James.

Aldrich also shared how the song gained a new meaning for him after his father passed away in June due to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

“It really means a lot to me because I didn’t realize that the song would become true,” he told Ellen, who assured the young boy that his father would definitely have been so proud of him.

The two boys then drew a standing ovation from the Ellen audience when they performed their signature cover of the Luther Vandross hit.

“I'm so glad we found you,” Ellen told the two boys after their performance. She also gave Aldrich a number of gifts, including a guitar, a piano, and $10,000.
