American talk show host Ellen DeGeneres was blown away upon watching a video of a young Filipino boy singing the Luther Vandross hit “Dance With My Father” on YouTube.

“I am looking for you. Please come here. I want you to sing for me and my friends. You are amazing,” she said during the April 30 episode of her show Ellen.

“How beautiful is that?" she later said about the video. "Such soul in that little boy."

Inquirer.net reports that the young singer in question is 14-year-old Aldrich Lloyd “LA” Talonding, a high school student from General Santos City. He was accompanied by his cousin, 18-year-old guitar player James Walter Bucong.

LA says he was overwhelmed by the positive feedback his video has been getting worldwide.

“We didn’t expect all this,” he told the Inquirer in a phone interview.

“We only made the video for our friends. We didn’t plan or intend for it to go viral,” James remarked, adding that they would have made a better video had they known it would become so popular.

James also revealed that Zendee, a Filipina YouTube sensation who appeared on Ellen last year, was the one who sent their video to the show’s producers.

“I’m glad they liked it,” said Zendee.”I just wanted to help the kid. He’s my kababayan. I’m also from GenSan. I thought LA and James were good.”
