It’s been over three months since the explosive feud between Heart Evangelista and her parents, Rey and Cecile Ongpauco, caused a stir in the showbiz world. The actress, who hasn’t spoken to Mr. and Mrs. Ongpauco since the incident, has since attained the “independence” she has long sought out, managing her schedule, her finances, and even her move into a new home, by herself.

Malayo na yung narating ko,” Heart was quoted as saying in an article on PEP.ph.Nakapaglipat na 'ko ng sariling bahay ko sa Quezon City, malapit sa trabaho ko. Naayos ko na lahat. Minsan mahirap talaga, pero madami akong natutunan (I’ve gone a long way. I was able to move to my own house in Quezon City, near where I work. I was able to fix everything. Sometimes it’s difficult, but I’m learning a lot.).”

Heart is also fervently hoping that her boyfriend, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, will be “the one” for her.

Sana naman, pinagpi-pray ko 'yan na sana siya na talaga,” she said. “Ayoko na talaga ng iba pa, siya na lang talaga… Nalampasan na kasi namin 'yun e, so kahit ano pang dumating after that madali-dali na lang (I hope so, I’m really praying that he’ll be the one for me. I don’t want anyone else, I just want him… we already got through that, so whatever happens next will be easier.).”

Despite all the family drama that has occurred, Heart is still hoping that her parents will learn to accept the senator as part of their family should they end up together.

Hindi pa kami okay, e,” she said sadly. “Eventually, time will heal everything na maayos din lahat. Everything will just fall into place. Si Lord na siguro ang bahala kung ano ang gusto Niyang mangyari talaga (We’re not yet okay. Eventually, time will heal everything and the issue will get fixed. Everything will just fall into place. It’s up the Lord to do what He wants to happen.).”
