Bea Alonzo has recently been sharing photos of her Coron travel. Most of her uploads show pictures of herself in swimsuits.
In one of her posts, Bea proudly flaunted her bod in a two-piece swimsuit, while showing the beautiful Coron beach in the background. But what made us love the IG post more is the inspiring caption that came with it.
"I have always been the type who would choose not to post photos of myself in swimsuits but since I declared this year as the year for CHANGE, I thought that maybe I should change the way I view myself," Bea shared. "Maybe, I should get rid of all my insecurities so I can live more."
She added: "I want to forget about how I hated myself for being 'fat' in other people’s eyes and just remember the things that I love about my body. It’s the only body that I am blessed with and I am thankful for my health because I get to do the things that make me happy."
"I hope that this post could inspire other women to love themselves more, flaws and all. Let’s all work hard to better ourselves for us and not just so others could accept us," she ended the post.
Gerald Anderson, who the actress is dating, has nothing but support for his girlfriend’s body positivity advocacy. In an interview with Pep.ph, Gerald shared his thoughts about Bea’s swimsuit photos.
"Ang message naman niya, wag tayo masyadong papadala sa mga tao na may image na binibigay sa atin na, 'Dapat ganito ka kapayat,' 'Dapat ganito ka kaseksi'—'yung body shaming," he said. "Be comfortable about who you are. Kung gusto mong maging healthy, yun dapat ang priority, hindi yung hitsura mo lang."
Speaking of Bea and Gerald, the latter celebrated his 30th birthday on Thursday, March 7. And in a sweet Instagram post, Bea shared why Gerald is her "great love story."
"This photo was taken back in 2010. Back when I fell in love with you for the first time. Amazing how time just flies,” she captioned the post. “Can’t help but get a little sentimental especially because you’re spending your 30th birthday in another continent in a different picture."
“You are a wonderful man. Happy birthday, babe. You are my great love story,” she wrote.
