Since news broke out that Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson have allegedly split, Gerald has been mum about the whole issue. In fact, he hasn't ironed things out with Bea herself.
In an interview posted on July 26, Bea revealed that Gerald just stopped talking to her after rumors circulated that he was courting Between Maybes co-star Julia Barretto. "...to my understanding we did not break up. He just started not talking to me," said Bea.
On July 31, Gerald finally hinted at how he's feeling amid the controversy. One fan posted a screenshot of Gerald reacting to a quote she shared about having "two sides to every story."
The quote read: "There's always two side[s] to every story. If you are unwilling to hear the other side and only draw your conclusion from a half-told story, then you're choosing to be a manipulated fool."
Gerald replied: "Walang mas totoo pa dito."
According to a report by PEP.ph, Gerald also liked a post by his fan group on Instagram, which features the same quote, along with an African proverb: "Until the lion learns to write, every story will always glorify the hunter."
One eagle-eyed netizen was quick to notice that Julia Barretto liked the same post.
In case you missed it, rumors involving Gerald and Julia began when one fan spotted the two hanging outside a bar in Bonifacio Global City after attending Rayver Cruz's 30th birthday celebration. The anonymous fan then posted a photo of Julia and Gerald on Instagram and further claimed that they rode the same vehicle together after the party.
Bea liked the photos, and not soon after the actress posted a black photo on Instagram and captioned it with the word "ENOUGH."
"You can’t make the same mistake twice, the second time you make it, it’s not a mistake anymore, it’s a choice,” wrote Bea.
As of writing, Julia hasn't directly addressed the issue. One of her latest posts, however, seems to hint at how she feels about the entire fiasco:
