Brooding musicians, clean cut athletes, suave actors, or cheeky models—whichever type you go for, the Cosmo Bachelor Bash 2011 had them all. So, what? Some might think. It's just a bunch of topless guys parading down a runway. Now, on any given day, that would still be a cause of celebration. But if you've ever hit the Bachelor Bash, you'd know this annual show is much more than that—it's a chance for women to let loose, have fun, and let themselves go just a little bit (okay, maybe a lot) crazy over the scantily clad men featured in the event.
Outside the World Trade Center, women waiting to get in buzzed with anticipation for the year's most ab-fabulous spectacle. Inside, the enthusiasm hit fever pitch. Hot-blooded women pressed themselves to the catwalk's edge, eager to get as close as possible to their favorite hunks. A lucky few were armed with water guns, ready to spritz the likes of Brent Javier, Felix and Dominic Roco, and Azkal Misagh Bahadoran.
Kris Lawrence kicked off the show with Usher's "DJ Got Us Falling in Love"—a performance that had the singer ripping of his shirt halfway through the song. A few games upped the anticipation, with ladies testing the limits of just how far they would go to nab the coveted prizes—one of which was a trip for two to Busan, South Korea.
But even the naughtiest games couldn't match the main attraction: the arrival, of course, of Cosmo's sizzling bachelors. One by one, the men strutted down the runway, chiseled abs on display. Much to the glee of the audience, a few daring lads showed off more than just the usual toned torso—a group actually took off their underwear to flash screaming girls with their, well, backsides.
From then on, the excitement over the performances had nowhere to go but up into the stratosphere. Atticus King and Callalily's Kean Cipriano reminded us all of the appeal of musicians, with the former impressing with a guitar solo and the latter serenading the audience with Snow Patrol's "Just Say Yes." Jake Cuenca teased fans with a sexy video before stepping onto the stage amid screams and cheers. Rodjun Cruz and Lucky Mercado gave an energetic dance, while Mark Herras taught us how to Dougie. Crowd favorite Aljur Abrenica elicited shrieks from the girls, while a bevy of gorgeous Brazilians stole the show with their lively moves and adorable lip synching. And of course, what show is complete without a Brapanese guy or two? Daniel Matsunaga and Fabio Ide came out looking like perfect examples of every girl's dream guy.
The much-awaited segment featuring this year's centerfolds capped the show, with Enzo Pineda, Hideo Muraoka, Ejay Falcon, Paulo Avelino, Ahron Villena, Anton del Rosario, and Enrique Gil surprising the audience with their own little stunts and gimmicks. The highlights? Enzo dousing himself with a bottle of water, Paulo cutting through the sides of his trousers to reveal a flash of skin, and Hideo handing out red and white roses to lucky ladies!
