Dimples Romana and husband Boyet Ahmee will celebrate their 16th year as a married couple this coming June 15. But as early as now, the Kapamilya actress couldn’t help but get excited about this milestone that will happen soon.
In a sweet Instagram post on April 17, Dimples fondly shared how they have made their marriage work all these years.
“This is what ‘not giving up’ looks like,” Dimples captioned the adorable before and after couple pictures that she collaged and posted. “This coming June we’ll reach our 16th wedding anniversary mark...”
And her advice for couples on how to stay madly in love after so many years is this: “No matter how dark it gets in your life, find the light within one another or within yourself.”
Last year, Dimples also posted a sweet 15th-anniversary greeting on social media. There she revealed another secret to their long-lasting and strong marriage—a third party.
“Sa mga panahon na naging faint ang pagmamahal natin at pasensya sa isa’t isa, alam ko na kung bakit tayo magkasama pa din,” she wrote “Dahil sa mga oras na yun, pareho nating naisip na ang pangako natin sa isa’t isa ay hindi lang sa pagitan natin dalawa. There’s always been a third party— The LORD.”
She ended: “When we almost lost hope and faith in one another we found comfort in knowing that the GOD who was present when we made our vows to love one another ‘til death do us part is also present during these times and though we as human beings may run out of love and patience—HIS LOVE REMAINS and HIS LOVE will sustain us.”
The couple has two children, Callie and Alonzo.
