At 50, actress Dawn Zulueta looks as fresh and radiant now as she did decades ago when she was more active in doing movie projects.
Asked what her beauty secret is, she said, “Madalas tanungin sa akin yan, kung may secrets daw ba ako diyan, pero wala talaga. I really don’t have a secret. I guess my only secret lang is hindi ako nagtatanim ng sama ng loob. So, siguro that’s a secret,” she reveals. “Masaya ako palagi, I will make it a point. I’m not saying my life is perfect but I do know how to always see the sunny side of things.”
Dawn has happily settled into family life with her husband, Congressman Anton Lagdameo, and their kids Jacobo, 13, and Ayisha, 9.
Her 21-year marriage is also much-admired in show business, given that only a few last this long. “I believe in respect. Well, part of respect from one another is yung you always… still make an effort for your family. I think that’s very important. Hindi yung masyadong nagre-relax porke matagal na kayong magkasama. Kailangan palaging make the flame alive,” she discloses.
She also credits her happy childhood memories for keeping her “strong during tough times.”
“So I think as parents 'yan din yung kailangan nating iwanan sa mga anak natin—pampatatag para sa kanila.”
