Even celebrities are affected by the month-long enhanced community quarantine imposed over the entire Luzon.
Television networks and production outfits have put on hold the production of live shows and the taping for series, as their way of cooperating with the government's efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
Following President Rodrigo Duterte's declaration of community quarantine in the National Capital Region (NCR) on March 12, which was escalated to a Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine on March 17, your favorite celebrities have been staying at home like everyone else.
PEP.ph browses through the social media feeds of today's top celebrities to see how they are making the most out of their time at home:
1. Vice Ganda
It's Showtime host Vice Ganda took working out to a whole new level by running on the treadmill in heels, as shown in his recent Instagram Story this Tuesday morning, March 17.
Come afternoon, a series of videos showed the Unkabogable Star climbing a ladder on his way to the roof to pick green mangoes from a tree.
Of course, his boyfriend, Ion Perez, was the one taking the videos and could even be heard telling Vice, "Ingat ka, Babe." (How sweet!)
Afterward, Vice was seen happily gazing at the mangoes he picked, apparently enjoying the "fruits" of his labor.
2. Amy Perez
Meanwhile, Vice's fellow It's Showtime co-host Amy Perez did home chores with a twist.
Moms and wives could relate to the video Amy created using TikTok, a social networking app that allows users to create entertaining videos.
In the said video posted this Tuesday, Amy pretended to wave improvised weapons, which consisted of a broom, a belt, a hanger, and a slipper.
3. KC Concepcion
Meanwhile, KC Concepcion, 34, finally got the chance to do a chore that she last did when she was just eight years old: water the plants.
She posted a photo of herself holding a hose and watering the plants on her front yard.
The actress wrote: "Water some plants, anyone?
"Yaaaay first time ko magdilig ng halaman ulit since I was 8 years old My grandma taught me how to water plants with a hose."
She even quipped: "Kulang nalang dito DASTER eh complete na sana ang eksena!!! Hahaha lahat ng Pinoy makaka-relate!!!"
4. Kim Chiu
For her part, Kim Chiu focused on getting fit by doing instructional exercises on YouTube, such as Zumba, yoga, and body combat, all from the comforts of her home.
She posted a video of herself doing Zumba together with her two nieces.
5. Judy Ann Santos
This Tuesday, Judy Ann Santos posted a series of photos showing her three kids doing school work: Social Studies for her eldest Yohan, Hekasi (Heograpiya, Kasaysayan, at Sibika) for Lucho, and the alphabet for her youngest child, Luna.
Her husband, Ryan Agoncillo, also posted a photo of his wife and kids engrossed in their own activities.
6. Megan Young
Newlyweds Megan Young and Mikael Daez are not letting the COVID-19 outbreak dampen their mood.
The actress took to Instagram to share some photos of her and Mikael with their cute pet dog, Soba.
In the caption, the Miss World 2013 winner wrote that despite the COVID-19 health scare, she and her husband do not forget to see the positive side of life.
She wrote: "Trying to stay positive with everything that's happening around us. Making new routines, trying to learn new things, getting to appreciate things we otherwise wouldn't have noticed.
"Been enjoying the fresh air on the balcony with Soba since we've opted not to walk her outdoors for the meantime. Morning coffee time is also spent outside while checking on news updates.
"Hope you've found your small ways of coping. Stay safe everyone!"
7. Kakai Bautista
Comedienne Kakai Bautista mentioned in her Instagram post that she was challenged by someone to come up with a "pambahay" OOTD, and Kakai came up with an avant-garde creation that she pulled off with flying colors.
Her accessories: a rug, a plastic trash bag, and a belt.
She wrote: "I was challenged by @neomi_tg to post a pambahay kemerut and this is what happened:
"LEDES and CHENTLEMEN... Presenteeeeeng thu yu! The #BasahanCouture and #PambahayOotd"
Kakai is passing this challenge forward by inviting her followers to come up with their own unique OOTDs. She even tagged Heart Evangelista!
