Okay, so here's a juicy bit of showbiz chika for today: Carlo Aquino actually admitted that he was paasa to his ex-girlfriend Angelica Panganiban. During his recent guesting on Tonight With Boy Abunda, where he promoted his new film with Maine Mendoza, Isa Pa, With Feelings, Carlo was first asked about his thoughts on Angelica's statement that he doesn't exist in her life anymore.
The Kapamilya actor agreed that what she said was fair and said, "Kung nasaktan ko siya, karapatan niya 'yon. Karapatan niyang pagdaanan, karapatan niyang ramdaman iyon, at wala akong… Hindi ko dapat pigilan 'yon. Kaya nung sinabi niya 'yon, tapos nakarating sa akin, sabi ko, 'Okay lang naman. Okay lang.'"
Host Boy Abunda put him on the spot and asked him, "Pinaasa mo ba si Angge?" After pausing for a bit, Carlo finally replied with, "Hindi ko…Siguro po. Siguro."
He then went on to explain what went wrong with them and said he wanted their relationship to be just as friends: "Hindi ko lang siguro kaya po, Tito Boy, na…Oo, mahal ko siya, pero parang mas gusto ko nang mas friends kami. Natatakot lang talaga kasi ako masaktan siya ulit."
Carlo's current girlfriend, Trina Candaza, was also brought up in the conversation when Boy asked him if she had any involvement in his falling out with Angelica. Carlo admitted that, yes, Trina was already in the picture even before he and Angelica filmed their 2018 movie Exes Baggage. "Na-meet ko si Betrina bago mag-start yung movie. Tapos biglang hindi kami nagkita ng ilang buwan. Tapos after nung movie kami nag-reconnect."
To give more context to this exhaustive timeline (there's a lot to digest!), Carlo and Angelica were in a relationship for six years until they broke up in 2006. They reconnected in early 2018 after Carlo ended a seven-year relationship. They then co-starred in a film (Exes Baggage) and daytime show (Playhouse) in the same year, went on vacations abroad, and spent the holidays together. In early 2019, the two had a major falling out and have not patched things up even until now.
