While interviewing Queen of All Media Kris Aquino on entertainment talk show The Buzz on December 18, TV host Boy Abunda couldn't help saying she's at her best when she's single, ABS-CBNNews.com reports.
"Mas masaya tayong lahat kapag ganyan ka (We're all happier when you're like this)," he is quoted as telling Kris. " Oo, masaya kami [kapag single ka]. You know why? Kasi hindi pa namin nakikita na ganito ka ka-stable, kasaya, lahat. (Yes, we're happy when you're single. You know why? Because we haven't seen you this stable, this happy, and everything else.) In many, many ways, she is at her best now."
Kris mentioned during a press conference for her Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Segunda Mano, that she wished for the freedom to love this Christmas, but Boy said whether or not she remains single isn't just up to her. "We have to ask Bimby," he said. "Maniwala po kayo, he has an opinion about the life of Kris Aquino. And he [makes] sure na naririnig ng kanyang ina at naririnig naming lahat kung ano ang kanyang nararamdaman. (And he makes sure that his mom and the rest of us hear about how he feels.) That's very important." Bimby is Kris's son with estranged husband James Yap.
Kris backed this up by saying, "Correct, and that's the opinion I listen to dahil talagang tumitiklop ako." She added that even her gay friends told her it would be best if she didn't fall in love again.
