It’s no surprise that Pantene chose Angelica Panganiban to be the face of new Pantene Nature Care. Brand manager Tristan Patricio relates the reasons for choosing Angelica as their endorser: “We love Angelica’s hair. Her hair epitomizes hair that is natural, hair that bounces naturally. We can see that in the commercial. No tricks, no stunts, it’s all natural and Angelica justified that very well.”

Both Patricio and director Robbie Dinglasan stress how easy it is to work with Angelica, saying that she is fun and easy to work with. She is very professional and puts her co-stars and the people around her instantly at ease with her laidback attitude.

Despite the intense heat during the commercial shoot, Angelica never missed a beat. She gamely answered all the questions thrown at her and expressed her delight about the immense turnout of support for the product. She was pleasantly surprised by how many girls were ready to show the country their Pantene bounce. She was also extremely excited for the girls, saying it was their moment to shine.

Angelica also explained how important it is to care for your tresses and how beautiful hair is an asset for everyone. According to her, hair maintenance is essential in looking and feeling good. When one has healthy, beautiful hair, everything else follows. Importance given to skin should also be given to ones hair. “Kung gaano ka ganda yung balat mo or ganyan, eh feeling ko, nagma-matter din yun sa hair (However beautiful your skin or anything else is, I feel that matters with hair as well).”

When asked what made her decide to become part of the Pantene family, the actress answered, “Secret!” and then laughed. She then answered the question seriously. “Sobra akong happy na meron akong ganitong klaseng blessing na pinagkatiwalaan ako ng P&G para mag-endorse sa isa sa mga products nila. Kaya feeling ko ang lakas makapang babae, yung girl na girl yung dating ko talaga, yung sinabi sakin na maging part na ko ng Pantene family. (I’m really happy to have gotten this kind of blessing, that P&G has trusted me to endorse one of their products. I felt the power of my womanhood, that I was really someone who appeared like a girly girl, when I was told I was going to be a part of the Pantene family.)”

Angelica also stressed that she has always been a Pantene fan, even when she was younger; Angel Aquino’s stint as a Pantene endorser left quite an impression on her. She said that Pantene exemplifies a woman who cares for herself and is ready to face the world. She is particularly happy to be part of the Pantene family because she knows that the relationship is one that will last. It is a relationship built on trust and belief in each other.

Extremely happy with the outcome of the TVC, she tells everyone, “Do the Pantene Bounce!”
