It's no secret that former reel and real-life couple Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino had a falling out earlier this year. After working together in the 2018 film Exes Baggage and the daytime teleserye Playhouse, everyone thought they were going to get back together, but that's sadly not the case. In fact, they're not even on speaking terms!
Over the weekend, a Carlo-Angelica fan account tweeted, "Kahit minsan lang...mabuo ang family," and tagged Carlo and Angelica's accounts. The tweet also used the hashtag #CarGel.
Angelica replied, "Nope. Sorry. Spare me. Si Khang at si Josh lang ang tinuturing kong pamilya. Gusto kong maging mabuting tao. Pero ayokong maging bobo :)."
So what really happened between them for Angelica to reach this point? Here's a refresher:
Trouble began in January 2019 when Angelica unfollowed Carlo and announced that people won't hear about him from her ever again. In February, Carlo spoke up about being called "paasa" and claimed that he and Angelica were "okay." And then, Angelica denied this during an interview with the press in March, saying that she is no longer friends with Carlo and that they're not even speaking to each other! Angelica also revealed that she almost fell for Carlo again. In June, Angelica said that she has been waiting for an explanation from him, adding, "Sana matagal na niyang ginawa."
The two are currently working on separate projects. Angelica will soon be starring in a movie with Bea Alonzo and Richard Gutierrez, while Carlo is working on his upcoming romantic movie with Maine Mendoza called Isa Pa With Feelings.
