On September 13, Carlo Aquino announced on social media that he and girlfriend Trina Candaza were new parents to their first child, Enola Mithi Aquino. "You can thank your stars all you want but I'll always be the lucky one," the Kapamilya actor wrote on Instagram along with a close-up picture of his baby girl.
Although Carlo and Trina said their pregnancy was never meant to be hidden, they decided to not post about it for the public to consume. The news, naturally, was a surprise to Carlo's fans and showbiz people alike, and one such person who was asked about his big reveal was his ex-girlfriend Angelica Panganiban.
In a recent interview for her new online show, Ask Angelica, the Kapamilya actress was asked about her reaction to Carlo's news. Angelica kept her answers short and only said positive words for her ex: "I'm sure masayang-masaya siya. Masayang-masaya sila, and 'yon naman dapat 'yon, 'di ba? Importante, yung happiness ng mga tao, So, good. Congratulations."
It's known that the exes and former love team partners reunited in 2018 for the film Exes Baggage. The public hoped for another chance in love for the two, but their team-up resulted in a falling out in early 2019.
