As Megastar Sharon Cuneta celebrated her 46th birthday on January 6, she also gave her fans a surprise present by joining social networking site Twitter.com with the handle @sharon_cuneta12.
"I've finally given in! Am finally tweeting - for the first time ever - after receiving so many sweet bday msgs. I am overwhelmed," her first Tweet read.
Sharon's daughter, actress-TV host KC Concepcion, confirmed the account's authenticity in a Tweet. "So, looks like som1 i know well is on twitter! To those who wna follow my birthday girl momeyh on twitter, it's official! sharon_cuneta12 xx," she Tweeted on January 7. KC recently reached 1,000,000 followers on her account, @kc_concepcion.
Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, Sharon's husband, also expressed his excitement on his own account, @kikopangilinan: "welcome to twitter to my sweetheart of 17 years and my wife of 15 years and going and going and going!"
As of press time, Sharon has over 18,000 followers and 78 Tweets.
