Shortly after announcing that they've been engaged, Richard Poon and Maricar Reyes have already tied the knot in an intimate ceremony held at The Bellevue Manila in Alabang on June 9.

PEP.ph reports that among those invited were ABS-CBN bosses Charo Santos, Johnny Manahan, Cory Vidanes, and Linggit Tan, as well as stars Nikki Gil, Billy Crawford, Yeng Constantino, and Christian Bautista. A number of paparazzi had also tried to sneak in the wedding area, but they were foiled by the guards, who made sure to only admit those whose names appeared on the guest list.

Richard, who started dating Maricar in 2010, said he was drawn to her simple nature.

“I like her because she’s very simple. Hindi siya 'yung parang materialistic (She’s not materialistic),” he had said in a previous interview.
