After signing a new contract with ABS-CBN in December, actress KC Concepcion starts 2012 on a high note as the TV host for the upcoming Philippine franchise of reality singing show The X-Factor. The actress-TV host told Push.com.ph that she's flattered to be working on the show, especially since she's a fan of the original version.
Besides her hosting gig, viewers will continue seeing KC on variety show ASAP. She also stars in the upcoming teleserye Alta. With all these to look forward to in 2012, KC is excited. "I will end 2011 with my having a happy heart and start my year with a happy heart."
Instead of thinking of the changes in her career as something to console her after her breakup with Piolo Pascual last year, she said she just considers them as blessings. "Alam niyo, kapag merong dumarating sa buhay natin, ang hirap naman na tanggihan kasi may dahilan kung bakit nabigay sa iyo 'yun. Hindi ko alam kung bawi ba ito (You know, whenever something comes to our lives, it's hard to say no because there's always a reason behind why it was given to you. As for me, I don't know if life's trying to make up for things)," she said, laughing.
She added that these blessings are also the result of hard work, but at the end of the day, what's important is knowing how to roll with life's punches. "May mga bagay na hindi mo rin talaga maaari planuhin umpisa pa lang ng taon (There are still things you just can't plan at the beginning of the year)," she explained. "May mga bagay na dadating, maganda man or hindi masyadong maganda na kailangan lang pagdaanan mo. Kailangan meron ka lang faith na may dahilan ang lahat. (There are things that will come, and whether they're good or bad things, you just have to go through them. You should just have faith that everything happens for a reason.)"
