Al-shadat Hassan Abdurajarak is a Tausug police lieutenant, while Bai Rihan Mangudadatu Sakaturan is a Maguidanaoan princess, and also the congresswoman of Sultan Kudarat’s first legislative district. It’s the beginnings of a love story worth of a Netflix series.
They probably know it, too, as the now-married K-drama-loving couple had a prenup video inspired by their favorite show Crash Landing On You, which had quickly gone viral. “He’s from North Zamboanga, like Captain Ri for North Korea, ako naman from south kasi ako, so from Seoul-tan Kudarat ako,” shared Bai Rihan.
The footage by OutLoud Studios was a breathtaking journey through the beautiful country- and seaside of Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, General Santos, and Sarangani.
And that’s just the pre-nup video. Their traditional engagement ceremony also took social media by storm. While the lockdown forced them to cut back on guests, Bai Rihan’s grandfather urged the couple to push through with an intimate ceremony with close family, which became a beautiful blend of Maguindanaoan and Tausug cultures.
