The end of March marks the start of summer. This is also the time of the year where we're invited to graduations and the parties that come after the ceremonies. There is a special kind of nostalgia that comes with seeing our younger siblings or cousins move on to a higher grade or become part of the working world because it wasn't so long ago that we were the ones graduating and signing each other's yearbooks. Those were the days when ambition wasn't curbed by practicality, when we believed that we could be anything that we wanted to be, and who cared about paychecks, anyway? Do you still remember what you answered when grown-ups would ask you what you wanted to be when you grew up? Did you want to become a doctor, a lawyer, or maybe a teacher? Did you dream of becoming a ballerina or a singer?
Take a moment to pretend you're a child who doesn't care about things like taxes or wages. Before the factors of money, education, or respectability came into play, what did you most want to spend your life doing?
