Running a royal household is no joke. Queen Elizabeth's many homes require intensive care and hundreds of hands on deck to keep everything in place. We can imagine the Queen being a stickler for all those royal rules and protocol judging by the secret codes she uses with her staff and everything we've seen so far on The Crown, but according to reports, she is a most gracious and understanding employer.

In the search for new hires, the royal household has gone digital and even has its own website and LinkedIn account.

So if you see a career change in your future, consider this: a full-time job at one of Queen Elizabeth's 13 stately residences for a year. Curtain maker perhaps? Or assistant learning curator? How about social media manager?

Many of us dream of becoming a royal, so if you can't be them, why not work for them? Visit the Royal Household website regularly in case your dream job pops up. They have offerings in education, hospitality, conservation and crafts, and press, public relations, and marketing. As for now, here are the current vacancies in the royal household:

1. Curtain Maker and Soft Furnishing Upholsterer

Salary: £22,000 (or P1,367,500*) per annum plus 15 percent employer contribution pension scheme and benefits

Location: Windsor Castle

Description: If curtains are your passion, this could be the job for you. Responsibilities include designing new items, estimating materials, cutting fabric, and delivering multiple soft furnishing projects within Windsor Castle and its 1,000 rooms. But more than that, it's protecting heritage by leaving your own legacy because tending to curtains is one thing that makes working for the Royal Household exceptional.

2. Assistant Learning Curator

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 (P1,735,712 to P1,859,691*) per annum

Station: St. James's Palace

Description: An applicant for this position must be a natural communicator with a passion for imparting and making specialist knowledge accessible to adult visitors. As a learning curator, you're tasked with interpreting and presenting one of the world's greatest art collections and ensuring that its stories are told in ways that engage, surprise, and inspire adult audiences.

3. Daily Cleaner

Salary: £8,788 per annum (P544,765*)

Location: Palace of Holyroodhouse

Description: Thousands of guests come to marvel at the palace each day and the cleaner must make sure that all areas, including the public visitor route, are gleaming and spotless at all times so that they're presented to their best for colleagues, visitors, and of course, the Royal Family. It isn't rocket science but if you can work your way around a mop and have excellent teamwork skills, apply here.

4. Business Development and Communications Manager

Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (P1,859,691 to P1,983,670*), pro rata

Location: Palace of Holyroodhouse

Description: Branding and marketing are given a more fulfilling explanation by the royal household: It's taking every opportunity to develop local audiences. You'll basically be attempting to grow the business with the Scottish travel and tourism industry by promoting a visit to the home of Scottish Royal history. Naturally, someone with experience in the Scottish cultural heritage sector has a greater chance at the job, but other than that, you need to have a practical set of skills, an understanding of the consumer markets, and the ability to forge successful partnerships.
