Learning a foreign language comes with a lot of benefits—from expanding your world view to exercising your brain. Not to mention all the possible career opportunities that you could open yourself up to! There are online courses, mobile applications, and books to give you a low-down of the basics; but nothing beats a face-to-face language class with a native speaker. Alliance Française de Manille on May 26 is offering a taste of their French classes for free so you can practice your s'il vous plaît and je suis. This open house is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their headquarters along Nicanor Garcia Street in Makati City.
Aside from trial classes for kids, teens, and adults, you can also participate in a wine-tasting session, book sale, and movie screening (Karaoke en français). Francophile or not, it all definitely sounds très bien!
Registration is first-come, first-served.
