Aside from being a lauded actress, FN Life Peg Kris Bernal is a successful businesswoman; she is the CEO of her own beauty brand SHE Cosmetics, and she also runs the Korean restaurant House of Gogi, which she has turned into the food mart Gogi Mart to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.
After her engagement to Perry Choi in February 2020, she and her fiancé continue to hustle, despite the fact that 2020 has been a trying year.
"Ang hirap talaga," she says in a previous interview on 24 Oras. "Nag-adjust talaga ako from operations, menu and sa sanitation nu'ng restaurant, sa number of employees na papasok."
As her professional roadmap has changed, so have her personal plans. In an exclusive interview with Pep.ph at the 25th anniversary virtual party of Preview.ph on Saturday, December 5, 2020, she shares that she had to put her wedding plans on hold, at least until some time in 2021.
Kris notes that decided to focus first on her new career journey as a freelance talent. While she still considers GMA-7 to be her "home network," she is currently among the seen on TV5 alongside Piolo Pascual, Maja Salvador, and Jake Cuenca.
"Parang may bago akong journey sa career ko ngayon," she says. "Gusto pa naming tantiyahin kung hanggang saan pa aabot ang career ko."
