It’s the sad truth: The holidays are completely over. Just a few days ago you were celebrating with your friends and family until sunrise, but now, you’re back to reality as you blankly stare at your computer monitor. If you find it difficult to focus on your work, much less, accomplish anything by the end of the day, why not try these three tips for a productive week ahead?

Make a to-do list.
Jot down everything that needs to be done for the day from the most important to least. Starting off with the simple tasks first can also help you ease back into your routine without being too overwhelmed. 

Plan several days ahead to prep yourself for the upcoming work week.
Art Markman, PhD, a psychologist with the University of Texas at Austin, says you should "focus on specific tasks you need to accomplish rather than a big picture item." He also added, "The specific tasks will engage you in particular work you need to do, which will allow you to re-establish your life routine after the disruption of the holidays."

Leave the office a little earlier.
As much as you want to finish everything in one sitting, it’s simply impossible. Give your mind some time to rest in between tackling tasks and go home early. It’s essential that you pace yourself appropriately, so that you won’t feel too swamped with the workload ahead of you. Ask your boss for more time for a particular project so that you can focus on it and deliver properly.
