He says, "I remit all my income to Divine para mas madali. Siya na bahala...She likes to budget. Everything naka-Excel, so hindi ka makalusot kapag mawala iyong bente pesos mo. Alam mo na sa Excel kung saan napunta."

Divine, laughing, adds, "Mag-aaway pa kami kasi kailangan talaga maalala niya saan napunta iyong perang iyon. Kahit 100 pesos, 500.

"Nai-stress siya sa akin na parang, 'Babe, I'm sure ginamit ko sa parking.'

"[Sasabihin ko,] 'Saang parking?! Bakit hindi nakalista? Hindi naman nakalista doon!' So, nai-stress siya akin."

Excel: the financial lifesaver

In an email exchange with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on September 24, Divine further reveals that she is completely in charge of the household expenses.

"Blake kasi just really wants me to take care of it kasi nga forte ko siya," the celebrity vlogger writes. "Naka-alarm 5 days before lahat ng due dates [ng bills] and every day, nakabukas yung Excel sheets ko."

Divine takes her Excel spreadsheets seriously and considers them her financial guide in life.

She continues in the email: "Strength ko iyong gumawa ng system and keep everything in check.

"Actually lahat ginagawa ko sa Excel. Kasal ko, birth plan ng anak ko, vaccinations, travels namin, even meal plan sa bahay naka-Excel. Hahahaha!"

Since all expenses are listed down in detail, Divine can pinpoint where one spends their money.

"Diyan mo din makikita ang laki pala ng gastos ko sa dining out or transportation, etc etc. Or if you can afford to invest on something. It's nice to see some kind of plan or direction with your finances."

Going cashless

Divine finds that cashless transactions make it easier to keep track of expenses. She has been doing this since she was single.

She reveals, "Actually baka nakakainis nga ako kasama sa restaurant that doesn't accept credit cards. Kasi lagi ako nagsasabi sa friends ko, 'Pahiram cash, bank transfer ko na lang sa inyo now.' Haha!"

Even today, she has implemented the cashless system in her household.

"The reason why I've been doing this kasi kahit gaano ka kasinop, ang hirap [i-monitor ng cash]. So, even all my household [staff], I never give cash. I always wire. Everything is accounted for easily.

"For example, may task sa driver, nagutom ako or I need something pabili sa mall. I wire his debit card the exact amount.

"We also use the petty cash system, they have petty cash when we go out or in the house to be liquidated when refilled. This is for the small gastos, like tips sa mga delivery guys, etc."

But Divine's top money tip is listing all expenses down in Excel. "It manages my income and expenses, and [it's] easy to see and forecast the future when you know where everything goes."
