“I wanted to have a hobby to relieve stress after work,” she shares with Female Network. “I [then] stumbled upon soap making. It was like cooking and baking at the same time, which I also love [doing.]”
When she had perfected her homemade bars, Desiree thought of turning her favorite hobby into an online business. In 2019, she started The Soap Diary, a local store that sells handcrafted soaps and other bath products like bath salts and even candles.
