It looks like in England, femme power rules as the results of a poll conducted by online bank First Direct show. Reuters reports that more than half of British women (58 percent) would split the bill on the first date, a number that’s double the figure for men (29 percent). This shows how being independent is important for women. Meanwhile, 55 percent of men still stick to tradition as they expect to pay for the full bill on the first date, a belief that only 25 percent of women agree with. Other forward-thinking women (14 percent) say whoever suggested the date should foot the bill while a small percentage (3 percent) said they would pay for the date themselves.
