News spread worldwide when a 21-year-old college student received a lewd photo of New York Rep. Anthony Weiner from his Twitter account. After claiming his account got hacked, the representative called a press conference a week later to tell the truth and publicly apologize for his wrongdoings. CNN.com reports that besides sending explicit pictures, the married politician also admitted to having "inappropriate conversations conducted over Twitter, Facebook, e-mail and occasionally on the phone" with women online, although he claims not to have seen any of them in person. According to Maribel Sison Dionisio, a relationship and parenting expert featured on news program Bandila, having relationships through social networking and texting despite already having a partner is definitely possible, thanks to the hi-tech age we live in. "It's called emotional infidelity. Merong magkaibigan lang sila. Nag-uusap, spending time, enjoying each other's company. At saka yung kasayahan mo nalilipat na dito sa bagong tao. (There are those who are just friends. Some talk, spend time together, and enjoy each other's company. What could have been your happiness gets transferred to this new person.)"
