Most people think that spending more time with their partner in between the sheets can guarantee a happy relationship, but experts says otherwise.

In a new study from Carnegie Mellon University, researchers asked 64 sexually active couples to double the amount of sex they were having. They found out that couples who increased their steamy sessions were not necessarily happier. In fact, they began to enjoy the sex less after three months and even had a lower sex drive.

The reason? Couples may feel like they're forcing sex rather than actually letting it happen naturally. Lead researcher George Loewenstein, Ph.D. says, "Perhaps couples changed the story they told themselves about why they were having sex, from an activity voluntarily engaged in to one that was part of a research study." He also added that there are still benefits when you and your man do it more often, you just have to create a comfortable environment that will stimulate and arouse you both.
