“The key is striking a balance between proactively dealing with them and distracting yourself from them. The first is necessary because if you don’t deal with the breakup of your relationship or marriage, it will likely find a home in the back of your mind and sit, stubbornly festering away.”
Stop worrying about the things you can’t control. Excessive worrying is not only mentally exhausting, but it could also affect your physical well-being – it can affect your daily life and interfere with your appetite, your (non-romantic) relationships, and your lifestyle in general.
Just let go of the “what-ifs” and focus on how to pick yourself up from the rut. Some women tend to hold on to the past because they’re looking for closure, but sometimes, you don’t really need the closure.
