Play is very important in a child’s formative years; it makes learning enjoyable and not boring. “Toys enable children to play, and play is an essential part of learning. Educational toys help stimulate the brain for the child’s intellectual, psycho-emotional, and social development, particularly for games done in groups,” says Frances Quebral, a teacher who handled first-graders at St. Pedro Poveda College in Quezon City.
