Gone are the days when you and your friends would feel so dyahe about finding love online. After all the success stories—a friend of a friend met her true love on Tinder—online dating is unsurprisingly becoming a norm. But while this makes choosing partners more convenient, it also makes it that much more difficult to stand out. Luckily, science is on your side, reports The New York Times.

Reviewing 86 studies on online dating, Dr. Sameer Chaudhry, an internist at The University of Texas, and Khalid Khan, a professor of women’s health and clinical epidemiology at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, were able to pinpoint exactly what makes a dating profile popular. Check out their findings below!

1. Username is king.
If you have the option to choose your own handle, go for a name that hints at a physical attribute. Apparently, men are much more drawn to names like “Cutie” or “Sexy.” Usernames that begin with the first half of the alphabet are also more popular. According to Khan, this is because human beings tend to put a higher value on whatever’s on top of the pile.

2. Divide your content wisely.
Follow the ratio 70:30. Make 70 percent of your profile about yourself and 30 percent about your ideal man.

3. Be honest, likeable, and a little funny.
When describing yourself, don’t list down everything that makes you a catch (even if it were true) because then you’d come off as desperate. It’s not a resume where every accomplishment matters.
4. Pick the perfect profile photo.
Be strategic about your profile pic. Make sure you’re smiling and that you’re standing in the center of the frame surrounded by other people.
