Are you and your man going through a rough patch? While there are some bonds you should learn to let go of, there are also relationships worth keeping. Here are six signs that prove your union is worth fighting for.
You and your partner still communicate.
Communication is important in a relationship–it’s how you’re able to share your concerns, ideas, passions, and dreams. If you and your partner are still communicating properly, this means that both of you are putting in the effort it takes to make your relationship work. That alone is worth giving what you have another shot.
You still get butterflies.
While kissing and hugging may seem almost obligatory in some long-term relationships, if you still feel butterflies in your stomach, then it means you’re still passionately invested in your partner. Steal kisses or give him unexpected hugs or cuddles–he’ll definitely be head over heels for you again.
You’re open with each other.
Being honest with each other is essential to maintaining a healthy relationship. If you have no trouble coming clean to each other about what you want or don't want in a partner, then give your relationship another go.
You put in effort to work out your problems.
It may be difficult to swallow your pride when you and your partner get in a fight, but if both of you are willing to work it out through thick or thin, then your relationship is definitely worth saving. Fixing things is a two-way street and it’s impossible to mend things if only one person is willing to put in the effort to fix things.
You can be yourself around him.
Trying to be someone you’re not can be stressful, but if you feel the most comfortable when you’re around him, then maybe what you have is something worth keeping. He sees the real you and that doesn’t change his feelings for you.
You grow together.
Are you both a better version of yourselves after getting together? If a person brings out the best in you and makes you realize things about you that you never knew about, don’t be afraid to invest yourself in the relationship.
The truth is, it's hard to find a partner, in the truest sense of the word, in this world. If you're already with someone who makes your heart beat faster and slower at the same time, then you should at least try to fight for what you have. But of course, some things are just not meant to be.
