Disney films are breeding ground for some of the wickedest stepmothers in history, but they aren’t lacking either when it comes to loving moms who stand by their children through thick and thin. Such commendable mothers include Mrs. Darling from Peter Pan, Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast, and Sarabi from The Lion King.

While our favorite heroes and heroines were off in some adventure or on a mission to save the world, their mothers were always there, waiting with heavy hearts for their children’s eventual return.
