While most people plan to spend Mother’s Day at the mall or at a restaurant, why not try celebrating this special occasion by staying at home? There are still a lot of fun activities you can do without having to spend too much (or battle traffic, for that matter). Here, we list a few things you and your family can do for Mother’s Day.
Host a family brunch at home.
Invite your extended relatives over and celebrate the occasion together–have a barbecue party or a fun and nostalgic picnic. You can ask your guests to bring food or you can all cook together. Remember what they say, the more the merrier!
Try something new.
Whether that’s baking or whipping up a new, exotic dish, trying something new with the family gives you the chance to bond and enjoy quality time together.
Make Mother’s Day cards for other moms.
Celebrating Mother’s Day can be exciting and rewarding but celebrating it with other mommies is a different thing. Share the joy and happiness with other supermoms you know of!
Have a family game night.
It’s time to unleash the (healthy) competitiveness in you and your family–bring out the UNO cards and the twister puzzles! If you have a big family, group yourself into two or three groups. Don’t have board games at home? Then do something like Pinoy Henyo or charades.
