1. It's okay to focus on nurturing your career first.

Because why not? Love shouldn't be rushed, and this is something we learned from Crash Landing on You star Son Ye Jin.

As reported by Soompi, the now-38-year-old actress once talked about her dating life in one of her press interviews. "In my early and mid-thirties, I was determined to find someone, but now I don’t think that way anymore. I think [I haven’t found anyone yet] because I’ve been working busily."

"I’m bad at dating," she joked and went on to open up how dating gets more difficult as she grows older. "In order to date, you need to make up your mind to date, meet many people, and have blind dates offered to you, but that’s not easy. It’s more difficult as you get older. I don’t think it’s possible to do something by force either," However, the leading lady added that she isn't keeping her doors closed. "I’m waiting for a good match to show up."

Right now, Son Ye Jin is simply "enjoying the sense of freedom" that she has. "I feel comfortable being by myself these days," the actress said in another interview with SBS

2. Never lose faith in love.

In an episode on Tonight With Boy Abunda, Jodi Sta. Maria was asked by Boy Abunda if she ever felt scared to fall in love again after going through failed relationships. The actress responded with a warm smile: "No. That is something na never kong kinatakutan. But of course, we learn our lessons from all our experiences. But I would always say that I have never lost faith in love." Keep your heart open, ladies.

3. Love yourself firstbefore anyone else.

As the saying goes, you can't pour from an empty cup. You have to be full of love to be able to share it with others. Developing a good relationship with yourself can even help you maintain a good relationship with your significant other when the time comes.

As Shaina Magdayao tells PEP.ph, "Importante kasi na maging buo ka muna bago mo mabibigay sa isa pang tao yung pagmamahal na 'yun," said the actress, when asked why she has been single for a long time. "...and sa lahat ng mga nangyari sa 'kin, I've been consumed, 'di ba? Parang, nagbigay ka ng bigay so siyempre mauubos ka rin.

"So kailangan mo i-prioritize yung sarili mo at the end of the day... so 'yun yung ginawa ko. 'Yun yung trinabaho ko [for] the past few years just so when the time comes, when the right one comes, 'eh may mabibigay ako sakanya na buong buo."

4. Being single never means you are "unlovable."

In a previous post on Instagram Stories, Bea Alonzo talked about one of her biggest realizations on flying solo: "As I began to love myself, my relationship with everyone changed. Them not loving you does not mean you are unlovable. It does not mean you can never be loved or you are unloved."
