There are some people who believe that guys who are too kind or too nice either finish last or don’t win the girl at all, but this study proves otherwise.

According to researchers from the University of Worcester and the University of Sunderland, women looking for a long-term relationship preferred guys who are kind compared to good-looking men who have nothing else to offer when it comes to character.

"Overall, the results provide further support for the view that altruism (or the selfless concern for the well-being of others) acts as an important trait in mate choice, particularly for long-term relationships."
