Dr. David Weeks, former head of old age psychology at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, also adds that "sex can help burn fat and release substances which bolster the immune system, while simple stress relief can improve the quality of sleep." Human growth hormone is also released during this time, which keeps skin elastic.

All this contributes to your youthful glow, and for older men and women, this could mean looking up to five to seven years younger than their actual age.
