Men and women communicate differently. Sometimes, what may be acceptable to you may not necessarily be tolerable to the opposite sex. Here we asked a few guys what their deal breakers are.

Too much pride

“When neither partner is willing to give way during disagreements… My girlfriend and I don't always see eye to eye, but we've learned to let each other win. The relationship is more important than the fight.” –George, 27

“Two things that will push me away in relationships are distrust and disrespect. If one party is always doubtful of the other, there will always be friction and contentions, which will lead to disrespect. It is difficult to respect someone you cannot trust.” –Ben, 39

Being too attached

“When a girl clings to you too much or if she wants you to devote most of your time to her.” –Russel, 24

“Being overly attached is number one. Of course I get it na we're committed to each other, but of course both of us were independent before meeting each other. Guys need their 'me' time too. Not necessarily time with barkada, but just time to be alone for himself. Another is making decisions for the relationship without considering what the other party has to say about it.” –Cyril, 26

Distrust and lack of loyalty
“Basically betrayal and a general lack of honesty and integrity. Sometimes, I push away people who have no ambition but those are rare.” –Adrian, 27

“Lies and misunderstandings.” –Ryan, 25

Constant nagging

“For me yung talagang sobrang nag nanag na, to the point na hindi na reasonable yung mga nangyayari, yung tipong wala ka ng magawa sa buhay mo parang controlado ka na masyado.” –Rian, 28

Financial instability

“Someone who doesn’t have a job. Kahit gano pa kaganda at ka sexy yan. Pag walang trabaho nakakawalang gana. Ayoko ng freeloader.” –Miko, 24

Being ignored
“In any relationship, bring ignored is one thing that could push me and anyone away. Being unwanted, even if it's just sometimes, is enough to push me and anyone else away.” –Louis, 24

“It’s a complete turn-off if a girl tends to complicate a problem. Stop overanalyzing everything and just trust me that what I tell you is true.” –Jake, 29

A negative outlook
“There will always be problems whether that’s at work, at home, in relationships, or life in general–you just have to know how to handle them. Women who are too negative seem to have a lot of drama in their lives and always see the worst in every situation.” –Mike, 28
