Men have a rep for being commitment-phobes, but they’re not the only ones who feel like they’re being backed into a corner every time a relationship takes a more serious turn. Women can also have commitment issues. Here, 7 signs that you may be afraid of commitment.

1. The thought of marriage puts you off.
You’re so happy that your BFF Giselle is getting married—you’re even the one who arranged her bridal shower—but imagining yourself walking down the aisle is another matter altogether. For now, you’re happy being the bridesmaid, never the bride.

2. You’re very careful about labels.
He can call you whatever he wants in bed, but being called "future wife" and "forever love" makes your skin crawl.

3. Fading is your signature move.

The moment things get a little too much, you abandon ship. Suddenly, you’re always busy, hard to reach, and unavailable.

4. Your relationships tend to be short-lived.
Past the one-year mark and you’re already gasping for air. Even if things are going well, you can't help but sabotage the relationship.

5. You avoid meeting his friends and his family.

You two may be together together, but you’d rather not meet his barkada or his parents yet. You put if off for as long as you can because everyone knows that it's a game changer.

6. No joint accounts.
You don’t even want to share the same iTunes account as your guy.

7. Forever is just a word.
A very constricting and limiting word.
