Respect for elders is an important value in our society, and so is keeping harmony. Unfortunately, it's more than common for women to be saddled with in-laws who may be a little too demanding. You may think that the only way for you to uphold these values is to keep quiet, be obedient, and accept mistreatment you may get from less-than-loving in-laws, but there are ways to get out of this difficult situation.
