How does it feel to share the limelight with someone you’ve known all your life? How do you distinguish yourself from the other? And most importantly, how do you kiss and make up without having to wage a war of Barretto proportions? We pick three equally gorgeous and talented sisters to find out:

1. Maxene and Saab Magalona
Back in 2008, news broke out that sisters Maxene and Saab Magalona were not on good terms with each other. A then 20-year-old Saab was quoted by PEP.ph as saying, “You know, sa lahat naman ng magkakapatid may mga away-away. But just now, I think we need time apart. Kasi, we've been together our whole lives.”

The two have since patched things up. In 2009, PEP.ph reported that Saab and Maxene were able to let bygones be bygones when their father passed away. “Ganoon naman talaga. Any family, may mga away naman talaga na nangyayari. At kami ni Saab, kami 'yung best friend sa family. Kami 'yung pinaka-close (That's really the way things are. All families encounter disagreements. Saab and I are best friends. We're really the closest in the family.).”

Whatever their rift was about in the first place, we admire the fact that these sisters didn’t let their issues destroy their family. They maintained a healthy respect for each other and understood that it was only a matter of time and space.

2. Megan and Lauren Young
Pride and envy so often ruin families, but not in this brood. While both Megan and Lauren Young are actresses, Megan recently became the center of everyone’s attention when she took home the crown for the Miss World 2013 Pageant, and Lauren was 100 percent supportive of her sister. In an article on PEP.ph, the Kapuso star said that she was nervous for her sister, but at the same time, she knew Megan deserved to win. “Nakikita na unti-unti nang natutupad ang mga pangarap niya and I wish her luck (Her dreams are slowly coming true and I wish her luck),” she was quoted as saying.

Megan also has nothing but kind words to say about her sister. A few months before her big win, Megan told PEP.ph that she was absolutely blown away by Lauren’s acting chops in her rival network’s soap. Sisters who support each other? Love it!

3. Toni and Alex Gonzaga
Having two talented sisters in one network can sometimes cause conflict, but Toni and Alex Gonzaga appear to find working with each other a breeze, if the natural camaraderie between them is any indication.

While Toni has already made a name for herself in showbiz, Alex clearly has no trouble shining on her own and admits that her sister serves as her inspiration. In an article on PEP.ph, she says that she drew strength from her sister for her first Maalaala Mo Kaya stint. “Siya 'yung inisip ko, siya 'yung pinagkuhanan ko ng hugot ko dun sa mga eksena (I think of her, she's the one whom I draw inspiration from whenever I do my scenes),” she said.

Toni herself is a sweet and caring ate who always seems to have an advice or two ready for her little sis. While promoting her movie a few months back, she told PEP.ph that it’s natural for Filipinos to have close family ties. “Ako po, may kapatid akong nakakabatang kapatid sa akin at hindi ko ipagkakaila na nakikialam po talaga ako (I have a younger sibling and I can't deny that I really meddle in her life),” she was quoted as saying. “Kasi kapamilya ka, ewala ka namang hinahangad na hindi maganda para sa buhay (It's because you're family... you don't want anything bad to happen to them.).”
