Research may have identified the six key features men can’t resist in women, but according to Professor David Bainbridge of the University of Cambridge, if there’s one thing that men value above all else, it’s intelligence. That’s right, ladies! When it comes to looking for a long-term partner, men look for intelligence because it shows that a woman was most likely brought up by intelligent parents and that she is also more likely to be a responsible parent.

"Forget boobs and long legs," reports The Telegraph. Brains for the win. "It may explain why a man like George Clooney ended up marrying human rights barrister Amal Alamuddin."

Of course, we have our own preferences, too. According to researchers at the University of Albany, women like men who can make them laugh. "People with a great sense of humor are attractive as mates and enjoy better mating success," says anthropologist Gil Greengross in an interview with Psychology Today.
