
Overshadowed by Puerto Galera, Naujan and Calapan City are two of the more unknown places in Oriental Mindoro. Yet to be explored by tourists seeking a more laid-back vibe, travelers are missing out on the charms offered by its mountains, culture, and history.
Based on popularity, it is easy to mistake Puerto Galera as the province’s capital. But it is Calapan City that has this distinction. It is the business center of the province and has most of its schools, banks, and museums. The city also boasts of several eco-tourism destinations to include in your trip list, including a small strip of white sand beach in Aganhao Island.
The municipality of Naujan is the province’s biggest municipality. This seemingly sleepy town has some pretty interesting attractions and people who call this place home.
