Memories of family trips stay with us long after we’ve left childhood behind. In this article, Lorela Sandoval remembers memorable summer vacations with her family amid the laid back vibe of her father’s hometown of Alitagtag in Batangas. Back in the ‘80s, a rented jeepney would bring her and her family to Alitagtag where she felt that life was so much simpler. Years later, it’s her turn to bring her son with her as they create new memories and traditions.
